Billing Specialist

HCR Home Care is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist Medicaid.  Will be responsible for the timely and accurate billing of each payer class assigned, posting cash to appropriate accounts, researching outstanding balances and collections of past due accounts.  Work on daily basis to reduce aged accounts receivable.  Handle questions and concerns from private and governmental agencies. 

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers in a professional manner to assure customer satisfaction.
• Provide home care billing expertise to both internal and external customers.
• Cross train other billing specialists and serve as a backup for billing specialists, as assigned, so that departmental billing tasks can be completed timely.
• Provide additional support and duties as assigned by the Billing and Reimbursement Manager or Controller.

Job Qualifications: High school graduate, Associates Degree preferred, with minimum one to two years billing experience in health care.

Weekend Clinical Support

HCR Home Care is currently seeking 2 part-time weekend Clinical Support people to work in our expanding nursing department.  Duties include providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers, providing office clerical support to professional field staff, scheduling professional visits, running and following up on daily reports, processing and tracking documentation and phone triage.  Other job duties as assigned, pertinent to the daily operations of the nursing department.

Job Requirements: 1-year experience in an office setting; call center or scheduling for a medical office is helpful, medical terminology or medical experience is a plus but not needed.  Must have a high school diploma and at least 1-year experience. 

This is a part-time weekend position working every other Friday 2- 8pm Saturday and Sunday 7am – 7pm.

Home Health Aide Advisor/Instructor

This position will provide support to the Home Health Aide Training Program by teaching/assisting classes for basic, advanced, and continuing education of Home Health Aides. Provide remedial skills, counseling, and support to trainees/Home Health Aides as needed.  The primary responsibility of this role includes HHA supervisions in the field, to help provide support and enhance relationship building with the Home Health Aides.

Responsibilities:
The HHA Advisor/Trainer will work closely with HHA Training supervisor to ensure HHA’s successfully complete training as specified by HCR policy and NYS-DOH.  Help facilitate the company’s reputation and growth through effective customer service.  Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Job Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Nurse with supervisory and/or teaching experience and have the ability to adapt to trainee’s needs for development of knowledge and skills. Have excellent communication skills. Home care experience is preferred, but not required.

Quality Assurance (Outcome Specialist) Full-Time

HCR is seeking an Outcome Specialist – the primary function of this position is to advance the knowledge, skill, and clinical aptitude of nurses with an overall goal of advancing improvement in OASIS outcomes and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Speech Therapist – Genesee County

Home Care of Rochester is currently seeking a full or part-time Speech & Language Pathologist Speech Therapist in Genesee County, weekdays.  The position will supervise, evaluate and provide speech therapy services to patients in the home as prescribed by the attending physician.

Job Qualifications:  Bachelors and Masters degree in speech pathology.  Licensed New York State Speech Therapist.  Minimum 1-year experience with speech, language and swallowing disorders.

Home Health Aide (Full-Time/Part-Time)

Home Care of Rochester is currently seeking Home Health Aides to work either full- or part-time. Home Health Aides provide personal care and health related servcies to patients. Home Health Aides work in clients’ homes and assist with personal hygiene, housekeeping and/or other related support services. HHAs must be physically able to:

  • Stand and/or walk for six or more hours when required.
  • Lift, push, pull and/or carry 40 lbs during an assignment.
  • Push, pull or transfer 100 lbs of weight.

Must also be willing to assist clients with some of the following specific activities: bathing, cleaning, filing nails, mouth care, hair care, assist with toileting and diapering, assist with exercise programs, prepare and assist with meals, cleaning kitchen, bathroom, vacuuming, mopping, laundry and other duties that have been assigned per the care plan.

HCR offers full or part-time positions and guarantees a 40 hour position such as working Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm or a full-time weekend position working Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 11pm. Must have a vehicle, and be willing to travel throughout Monroe County.

Non-certified Home Health Aide candidates who are offered employment with HCR must successfully complete a 2 ½ -week training program. If you are already a CNA or certified HHA, HCR will offer you a one-day training program where your skills will be evaluated. Both training sessions are non-paid. Home Health Aides must have their own vehicle to travel to and from cases and be able to read and write English at an 8th grade level.

Community Health Nurse

Physical Therapist

Physical Therapists at HCR evaluate patients mobility and provide skilled intervention within the patient’s own home environment. PTs focus on progression of the patient’s ability to safely perform gait, stairs, and transfers, while addressing limitations associated with pain, ROM, and strength. Common treatment strategies include adaptive equipment trials, compensatory strategies, ROM/strength progression, manual therapy, dynamic balance training, functional activity advancement, and caregiver education. PTs participate in the development and periodic revision of the comprehensive, interdisciplinary plan of care and work closely with the patient’s physician to manage changes in the patient’s condition. PTs work within highly experienced, dynamic, PT team and enjoy close collaboration with occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, social workers, dieticians, and home health aides. PTs at HCR work flexible hours and independently manage their individual schedule.

Occupational Therapist

OTs focus on ADL progression, falls prevention, energy conservation, and personal care independence. OTs participate in the development and periodic revision of the comprehensive, interdisciplinary plan of care and work closely with the patient’s physician to manage changes in the patient’s condition. OTs work within a dynamic, close-knit OT team and enjoy close collaboration with physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, social workers, dieticians, and home health aides. OTs at HCR work flexible hours and independently manage their individual schedule.

License Practical Nurse

Administer practical nursing care to patients requiring nursing service. Conduct a physical examination of the patient, including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, appetite and type of diet, ADL assessment, activity of daily living.
